14 July Bastille day concert

It was a little piece of Paris right here on the Brisbane River.

Everything about the evening was decidedly French - the decor, food, wine, dress of staff and patrons...

And complementing this was superb jazz.  The Janet Seidel trio transported the audience to the other side of the world with a delightful selection of mainly French music.

Filling the BJC on a week night is not an easy task, but tickets had sold out well before the night of the gig and Brisbanites were obviously keen to see one of Australia'sfavourite jazz acts.  The intimacy of the BJC suited the trio perfectly and the audience was attentive to every note as Janet and the trio provided one of the most polished nights of jazz we have seen for a while.  How lucky are we to be able to enjoy an evening in France with world class jazz musicians without even having to leave our own fair city.
