2004 Released CD ‘Don’t Smoke in Bed’ a tribute to the song writing of Peggy Lee.

CD featured Don Burrows on sax flute and clarinet. Launched CD at Basement Sydney and toured Australia.

2004 Wrote several cabaret shows and appeared at the Sydney Cabaret Convention the Adelaide Cabaret festival.

Shows included ‘We Get requests’ ‘ The Art of Lounge’ ‘Les Chansons de Paris’.

Performed with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra ‘Jazz goes Lounge’

Wrote a show based on the life of jazz performer Blossom Dearie. Wrote the title song ‘Dear Blossom and joined APRA as a full member.

Show premiered at Adelaide Cabaret festival

 

2005 CD released in UK ‘Janet Seidel: Hits’. Toured UK to launch the CD: appeared at Salisbury International festival of Music, Holywood Jazz Festival, Belfast Ireland, Oxford Jazz Society, Lyth Arts Society Scotland. Linlithgow Jazz Festival Scotland, Nottinghamshire Arts Festival, Boxford Jazz Club, New York. 

Wrote a show called ‘Delovely: the music of Cole Porter’ and performed the show 8 times in Sydney’s ‘Wood-fire Cabaret’. 

Released Live CD of the show. Performed show at Star City Showroom, Sydney.

 

March 2006 led her quartet to a Musica Viva sponsored tour of Abu Dubai, Kuwait and Beirut.

June 2006 Janet and her trio appeared in ‘Jazz Elite’ Tour of Japan with Helen Merrill and ‘The Idea of North’.  This tour included concerts across Japan.

July 2006 she toured with her trio for ‘Morning Melodies’ in theatres down the coast of Queensland performing her show ‘Doris and Me’.

 

Nov 2006 : the trio toured to Victoria performing in concert situations, dinner shows and Jazz Clubs culminating in a sell out show at the Famous Spiegletent in Melbourne.

December 2006 Janet and her Jazz Quintet appeared as guests with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in two concerts called ‘ASO Christmas Lounge’
