Based in Sydney, Australia, vocalist / pianist Janet Seidel currently enjoys a rare and enviable international reputation with 17 CDs released in Australia and also available in several other countries. In the Penguin Guide to Jazz on CD 2006 (UK) she is described as “Australia’s first lady of jazz”. On the other hand she is revered by cabaret aficionados overseas such as in New York’s Cabaret Hotline - “I had heard so much about this delightful jazz star from Australia, but I was still not prepared for this awesome performance. I have never been so thrilled by a performer - this lady is amazing - such pure clean vocals!" according to the writer.
We're thrilled to announce a concert in a wonderful Suffolk Church in the village of Orford.
The church has a concert Broadwood grand piano and an incredible acoustic.
We often get enquiries about private parties.
This is more than possible while we're in the UK: we have a good sound system and wheels and a hearty spirit for entertainment. This was said by a reviewer in 'The Australian'
'Janet has a voice as warm and pure as a soft, summer breeze'

Tribute Concerts performed by The Janet Seidel Trio at the Melbourne Recital Centre Salon on Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd 2011.
“ ....Recently I was privileged to be part of the inspired audiences enjoying two memorable concerts performed by the Janet Seidel Trio. The group are regular visitors to Melbourne and country Victoria, however, this time performing their first shows in the superb surroundings and acoustics of the Melbourne Recital Centre Salon where the band were very pleased to find the a perfect performing space and were clearly thrilled with the entire experience.
This brilliant performance space was a wonderful experience for the Janet Seidel trio. As was meeting the amazing Judith Durham! Photos by Deb Tout Smith and Kay Sharples

Last Sat saw the Janet Seidel Trio in the Salon at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Fab concert and venue! Tables, candles, stage close-up, intimate yet great acoustics. Terrific performance, with great variety - very sorry when it ended. Deb
